Straight after use, rinse, dry thoroughly and store in a dry place.

To maintain a fresh look, once rinsed and dried apply a small film of cooking oil over the blade and beeswax on the handle.
Don’t be alarmed if your high carbon knife loses its initial shine, this is normal as the patina creates a film of protection over the blade. If you wish to remove the patina, rub the blade with a scotch bright pad, rinse, dry thoroughly and apply a small film of cooking oil.
